Norwegian Selects Boxever
Powering its long-term customer-centric personalisation strategy
Dublin, Ireland (09 December 2019) – Boxever, the AI-driven personalisation platform is today announcing a five-year contract with Norwegian Air Shuttle to provide its solutions as the backbone of the airline’s long-term personalisation strategy. The airline’s multi-year plans include an extensive roadmap to deliver a more relevant, personalised customer experience across all of its customer interactions. The goal is to improve customer satisfaction and increase revenue.
The win is the result of an extensive tendering process which saw Boxever fend off competition from several leading global players in personalisation.
Boxever’s Personalisation platform will act as the brain behind the airline’s customer-facing channels so it can ensure that individual marketing to customers is as relevant as it can be and therefore increase engagement and revenue from each customer interaction.
The more we delved into data-driven communications, the greater Boxever’s potential proved to be.

The airline’s extensive personalisation strategy aims to utilise the wealth of data in an airline to deliver an even more customer-centric experience across the entire customer experience, from prospecting to customer care and retention. The CDP will also enable a leaner marketing tech stack enabling reduced IT costs and streamlining of the marketing processes.
Kei Grieg Toyomasu, SVP of Marketing in Norwegian, states that “The more we delved into data-driven communications, the greater the potential proved to be. We look forward to accelerating this, leveraging Boxever’s personalisation technology and expertise.“
Jon Williams, Chief Revenue Officer at Boxever, said: “We are extremely proud to work with Norwegian to help them deliver on their long-planned and considered personalisation strategy. The fact that the airline has a dedicated personalised strategy and team is proof of its intention to put the customer experience first but is also indicative of the value that companies are witnessing in terms of the solid ROIs that personalisation does deliver.”
Boxever is a personalisation platform that uses data and AI to help the world’s biggest brands make every customer interaction smarter and deliver game-changing customer experience. We do this in two ways. Firstly, we build rich and accurate profiles of their customers using data from across their business. Then we use AI to automate decisions about how to personalise interactions on every channel and in every moment.
The result? Personal, relevant and valuable experiences for customers, and improved engagement, acquisition and conversion for the business. Since we started back in 2011 we’ve been helping the likes of Emirates, Viva Air Group and AIB revolutionise how they engage customers. Seven years on, we’re now recognised by Gartner as a leading player in personalisation and ranked by Forbes alongside Google, Apple and Amazon as one of the most powerful examples of AI in use today.
